On a bike and boat trip along the Saar and Moselle rivers you will experience the charming river landscapes with meadows, forests and vineyards. Visit the famous Porta Nigra and the Imperial Baths in the ancient Roman city of Trier, the medieval town of Saarburg is also called "Little Venice". You will cycle to the most famous Moselle towns of Traben-Trarbach and Bernkastel-Kues. With a glass of Moselle wine on the sun deck of your comfortable hotel ship, you can really let your soul dangle in between.
This bike tour is a rather flat route with mostly paved and asphalted roads. Thus, the route of 225 km is easy to overcome and you have enough time for breaks and to visit the nature and cities.
Route

The quality of the cycle paths along this route is excellent. Most of the path along the Moselle is paved and does not have any gradients of note. This makes the trip suitable even for relatively unpractised cyclists.
